Thanks to visa - free exchanges with Great Britain, citizens of some countries have the chance to get the study-work visa while crossing the border. If you are not sure if this applies to you, please contact the British embassy in your country. These visas, in most cases, are given on the basis of confirmation of study, accommodation, and being able to prove adequate finances without major difficulties.

If you use our service of finding work and accommodation in advance, we will provide you with a certificate of accommodation, which could be demanded by officials. If you reserve the accommodation through the school, you will get the confirmation from the school. Information about whatever is currently needed to show in advance for getting a visa, you can obtain by calling the embassy.

While applying for the visa we recommend that you show the following documents:

- Certificate from school

- Certificate of payment of school fee and the amount paid (delivered by the school on request)

- Bank statement, preferably in English (see supplement) with account balance. We recommend a minimum balance in the account to be the equivalent of 3.000 GBP. The bank statement should contain the calculation of the account balance converted into GBP

- Certificate of accommodation + invoice of payment for the first two months

- Certificate from your employer about your temporarily interrupted employment due to your studying of English (for training/advancement in your profession)

- For students of universities who interrupted their study - documentation of interruption and definite return to studies after completion of the language course in London

- Declaration from one of the members of your family that in case of need, they will provide you with the funds needed to cover your expenses during your study of English in London. We recommend that you authenticate it and attach bank statements of the person who provides this guarantee.

- Any other documents if you think they are helpful.

You must be able to prove that you have enough finances for your entire stay, even without having employment. Specific rules are applied for getting a visa directly at the border. Again, it is necessary to show a certificate of study, certificate of accommodation, and finances. We recommend at least 400 - 500 GBP in cash + international credit card together with bank statement or bank certificate.
